Advanced Electrolysis utilises the ability to use our electrolysis machines to treat some common skin blemishes and lesions. Before any treatment is undertaken we advise you to confirm diagnosis of your skin blemishes or lesions – visit your GP or a Skin Specialist for an accurate assessment. Our Advanced Electrolysis treatments are an alternative to medical removal but confirmation that a lesion is safe to remove is crucial.
Our electrolysis machines offer either
HF – High Frequency Diathermy
or DC – Direct Current Galvanic Electrolysis
or Blend – Combined Diathermy and Galvanic Current
Advanced Electrolysis treatments have traditionally been available from experienced Electrologists to remove a variety of cosmetic skin blemishes quickly and expertly. Unlike hair removal, these treatments generally require only one appointment and take advantage of the very precise needle control required by electrolysis. (Some cases may require more than one treatment).
Red Vein Treatment is a form of Advanced Electrolysis used to treat Telangiectasia or Red Veins or Thread veins and Blood Spots (Campbell de Morgan spots), and Spider Naevi. This is a precise method of Electrolysis where we use a tiny needle and tiny electric current used to cauterise the tiny red veins visible on your face – Red Vein Page
Benign Lesion Removal is a form of advanced Electrolysis used to treat Skin tags, Xanthomas, Syringomas, Sebaceous Hyperplasia and Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra. We use the different electrical currents produced by a Blend Electrolysis Machine to either cauterize and desiccate (destroy) a lesion with a High Frequency Current (HF) or to use a chemical solution (NaOH) created by the Direct Current (DC) to slowly dissolve and shrink a lesion. If combined in a Blend Current we are able to heat and chemically treat a lesion. With all lesion removal we are trying to use the tiniest electric currents to achieve results without leaving scarring. – Benign Lesion Removal Page
